At the end of the War Allan there where three Licensed houses in Temple Street . Two on the Snow Hill corners -The “Pied Bull”, and The “Red Lion” and at the bottom at the Worcester Street end, there was on the north side (opposite the White hart) – The “Oddfellows Arms”. I shall put this bit of information on Querie Corner on our forum and a picture of the Red Lion which was demolished along with the othe adjoining shops when Clarksons extended the Store in the late 1950’s
