Memories of Bantock Park and Allotments in Jeffcock Road

Hi my name is Jane Ward and I am the Director of Central Youth Theatre Wolverhampton and we are currently putting together a Lottery funded project about the history of the Merridale/Pennfields area. The project is particuarly focused around the rural history of the area – when it was farm land.    We are also looking at the history of the Jeffcock Road allotments which are nearly a hundred years old.  If you have any memories of the local area – in particular Bantock Park when it was farmland or the local farms or allotments we would love to hear from you.  My email is jane@centralyouththeatre.org

 

Our project will involve creating site specific performances in Bantock Park, a supporting exhibition and film.
