GWR Stafford Road Railway Works 1835 – 1964
There used to be a plaque and wheelset ( train wheels & bogie) at the corner of
Gorsebrook Road and Stafford Road, commemorating the GWR Engine Works, Question –
What happened to both please. The plaque No is 39275 ad is featured in the
website [email protected] and there is a photo in Dr Paul Collin’s book
“Rail Centre – Wolverhampton ” 1990.
Does anyone remember it and know what happened to them. Thanks.
